"My year at Carr Mills has been thoroughly enjoyable. As a first year student you never have high hopes for student accommodation however Carr Mills - especially the staff - have proved that doesn't always have to be the case. Everyone in the Carr Mills team is lovely, approachable and makes you feel very safe - you can tell that they genuinely care about the students that live here. Small competitions are always being held for the residents and well as there being a constant supply of free goodies in reception to grab; it creates a community feel that I don't think you would find at many other accoms. The rooms are nicely sized with comfortable double beds and en-suites. They are also nicely shaped so you don't feel like you're living in a premier inn or prison - you're able to make it look and feel like home. Some advice would be that the sooner you decorate your rooms/make them your own the sooner you will find it easier to live away from home if that's something you're anxious about. The flats also have large kitchen/living room areas which makes socialising with your flat mates and guests a lot easier. The maintenance team, in my experience, has always been very efficient usually fixing any issues within 48 hours - 24 hours for more urgent ones. All in all I have had an amazing year here and have been genuinely surprised by the high standard of living. Would definitely recommend!"

Our Story
The Njoy Property Group was established in 2004 with a portfolio of residential accommodation. We later expanded into student accommodation, first in Manchester in 2008 and then in Stoke on Trent in 2009. We acquired our first purpose-built student accommodation halls of residence in 2012 and rebranded as Njoy Student Living.
Langdale Hall and Carfax Court Flats allowed us to explore the possibilities of creating student accommodation with a difference. By focussing on the customer experience instead of the corporate brand, we have created a unique student accommodation offering.
In 2013, the company expanded the Manchester portfolio with the purchase of the Naburn and Welby Street student houses and Addison Villas (Daisy Bank Road). A short hop across the Pennines in 2018 allowed us to establish roots in Leeds. Carr Mills is the largest purpose-built student accommodation property in our portfolio and provides a home for 301 students every year. In 2019 we acquired purpose-built residential apartments in Leeds.
With an impressive portfolio of property across Manchester and Leeds, we are helping to shape the student experience for everyone from first-years to postgraduates. We aren't affiliated with a single university, so students have the unique opportunity to live with individuals from other institutions, ensuring a well-rounded university experience.
